How often do we meet?
TAB generally meets once a month during the school year, but can meet more often during the summer. TAB meetings usually last from 45 minutes to an hour.
Are there other volunteer opportunities besides the monthly TAB meeting?
TAB members are welcome (and encouraged) to sign up for one or two volunteer time slots in the library per month. This is a great hands-on way to learn how the library works and help with projects around the library.
Benefits and Opportunities?
Þ Get volunteer hours for TAB meetings and events… can be listed as community service/involvement/volunteerism on college applications!
Þ Experience with meetings and hosting events
Þ Experience and community involvement around the library

Contact the library in person, by phone (940-458-3257), or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
It doesn't take long after picking up either Illuminae or its sequel Gemina to realize that you're not reading an ordinary novel. The story unfolds through a collection of artifacts from the characters' interactions, such as maps, blueprints, messages, dialogues on computer screens, and more.
We have just received both of these and will have them available for checkout soon!

North Texas Library Consortium
Sanger Public Library cardholders not only have access to our collection and resources, but also have access to most resources from the entire North Texas Library Consortium (NTLC). If we do not have what you are looking for in our collection, we are often able to request it from one of the other NTLC libraries and have it sent here to Sanger for you to pick up (most items take about a week to receive). In addition, your Sanger Public Library card will also work in-person at all of the other NTLC libraries. Click here for a map of all NTLC Libraries.
In the event you are looking for an item that is not in our collection or available from another NTLC library, we may be able to obtain it for you from a library elsewhere in Texas or the USA for the cost of postage (typically $1-4). If your needs are time sensitive (e.g., there's a deadline for your research paper), it is best to contact us about an ILL as early as possible as it can take time to order and receive an ILL.
LaunchPads are small tablet computers (no internet connection) loaded with study material and subject based learning games. The series ranges from elementary level learning all the way to SAT/ACT preparation and even adult language learning. Launchpads are available for in-library use and are able to be checked out by patrons who meet the requirements to do so and sign the Launchpad checkout policy agreement. Call or inquire at the desk for more information. To see what Launchpad titles we have in the catalog, click here.
The Maker Spot at North Richland Hills
The Maker Spot is a facility at the North Richland Hills Public Library available to all cardholders at NTLC libraries, which includes Sanger Public Library. On Site resources at The Maker Spot include 3D printers, Apple computers, shop tools (drill press, pipe bender, scroll saw, etc), quilting machines, and more! There are also a variety of classes taught on a regular basis. (Be sure to read the guidelines and FAQ's on their website thoroughly. Some age restrictions may apply and some equipment may require the completion of a training session before you are able to reserve time to use).
Access online academic research databases and other services hosted by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission… free for Sanger Public Library cardholders! Contact Sanger Public Library to receive a username and password.
Sanger Public Library cardholders may also get a TexShare card. A TexShare card allows you to checkout items at any library in Texas (may be subject to varying restrictions and rules at each library). To get a TexShare card, please ask at the desk when in the library.
Ask a Librarian
If you are looking for something in particular or don't even know where to start, never forget to ask a librarian. As the saying goes, "never research without a librarian!"
Search book title or author name to see books that are in the AR system... the results will display reading level and AR point values.
